Art Education Blog for K-12 Art Teachers | SchoolArtsRoom: Enter ...

Win $500 in art supplies from Nasco Arts & Crafts and Publication in SchoolArts Magazine!

At SchoolArts, our goal is to share ideas, stories, and successes while inspiring art teachers to create their own unique and challenging art problems. In this spirit, we would like to announce our first Keep Inspiraton Alive Lesson Challenge.

The Challenge:?We invite you, our fans, to take an existing SchoolArts lesson and make it your own! First, choose a studio lesson from the digital edition of SchoolArts found?here. You can use an article from the current issue, or you can pick an article from any of our online back issues, which date all the way back to 2006. (Just click on the ?Back Issues? tab in the digital edition to scroll through old issues).?

Adapt or transform the lesson of your choice to meet your interests and needs (different grade levels; special needs; limits in materials, time, class space, funds, etc.), teach it to your students, and share the results with SchoolArts.

Prizes:
The fan who submits the most inspired lesson adaptation will win a $500 gift certificate from Nasco Arts & Crafts, and one honorable mention will be awarded a $250 gift certificate.
